Tatjana Fraser's work emerges from experiences in natural spaces, where walking becomes a quiet act of connection. Moving through the landscape, the body follows paths that often lead toward the unknown. In these moments, she begins to heal with the land and alongside it. Her hands clutch the earth as the earth, in turn, holds her. Each painting carries her back to a place, a memory, a fleeting moment where time feels suspended. These moments live within the paths, the stones, and the pigments of the soil beneath her feet. Through walking, she embodies both memory and place. She thinks of her paintings as vessels for these experiences, spaces that hold traces of the land and invite the viewer to enter, linger, and inhabit the memory within them.
